No other way to describe it,
Woke up this morning knowing that not everything will be done. “Focus on the big stuff and hope” will be the plan.
Packed all my food, after a last minute shopping run and managed to pack my three resupply bags as well. Even managed to send some of them after booking all my accommodation for the next stint of the trail. Then there were final checks in the garden, making sure the watering system is all good after the paint job. Fueling the UTE, getting the battery back on charge, clean the garage, do some laundry… the list is endless.
Also met up with a very good friend for a chat and a meditation… so needed both of those. Then one last macaroni pie, a long phone call back home and booking some of the international flights for later in the year. Thought is was done, almost in bed when I remembered I still need to load the tracks and waypoints on my Garmin, it just doesn’t stop… finally got into bed in at 1:30am. Oh, and I almost forgot, pack you backpack for the trail stupid, flying back to Queenstown tomorrow.
