Yes, these are different P’s to the no Plan, Purpose or Pressure,
I looked at everything involved regarding the TA and decided that I am just going to go… all the way to the end of the South Island, if the weather allows. I broken it down into 4 more (hard) sections and as long as the weather is fine, I will be in Picton (the end of the South Island TA) around the 18th of May.
So today was all about getting everything together and back into my backpack, look at all the food I would need and the re-supply points along the way. Actually a lot goes into the planning, but it is worthwhile making for a more enjoyable trip out on the trail. There is a little bit of panic now, making sure I don’t forget anything, changing my clothes slightly to suit the colder weather and adding more power to help my devices through… and my harmonica (new).
All in all, I think it is all together, ready to go back on Tuesday morning, and apologies in advance, I will be pretty remote, so updates might take time to trickle in. See you hopefully on the “other” side.
