We (<-paragliding community) normally fly the “Towers” site in a dying southwesterly wind, which is not often the case in Christchurch without having to deal with rain. The prediction was good-ish and it seemed like the actual conditions might follow the prediction, but it did not turn out. I was all good to go, helmet and gloves on, ready to clip in when it suddenly got stronger and blew out. Sorry to my friend Clint, I made you drive up the hill for nothing. All in all, I am still glad that I went to go have a look, and secondly, following my instinct NOT to take off.
On my way back from the hill, I stopped in town for a couple of administrative tasks. Number 1 was to find a replacement fuel tank part for the car that is still in RSA. After doing a little bit of digging on the internet yesterday I was lucky enough to find the correct part, in stock, today in Christchurch… hooray! Almost couldn’t believe it.
Second task was to collect the photographs I had printed from film that I mentioned in FP-139. They came out great, very happy with them, now I just need to get them to Europe in one piece.

I’m also in awe that you found such a rare car part.. “-)
The car was originally built in Australia, so they are much more common in this part of the world. I was however very surprised to find one in stock, off the shelf here in Christchurch.
