Sad but true, time to clean, pack and say my goodbyes to France,
I decided not to go flying today because it will just break the day apart and I have so much to do and get done. Started packing my paragliding gear with my meditation and retreat stuff. Cleaned the apartment I have been living in the last 2 and a bit weeks and then decided to make a lunchtime dash to the bakery one last time to please the Haaikie.
Waiting at the bus stop, the bus arrives and the woman and her little daughter in front of me realises that to purchase a ticket on the bus you must have cash. She was Dutch and understood as little French as I do, so I helped explain the situation and just paid for their tickets. The next bus is only in an hour and there is no ATM close by, so I wasn’t going to leave her there. I get to my stop (Duingt), stop at the bakery and the SPAR and ready to head home to feed the Haaikie, I realise that I now don’t have enough cash to make it home. LOL, strange how paying it forward works. The woman on the bus offered to pay me electronically, but that just seemed like too much effort for 7 Euro’s. So the Hamster had to do some quick thinking, catching a different (free) bus to another village to get to the ATM, get cash, to make it in time from there on my original bus back home. See… it all worked out, even if it wasn’t as I planned it and I got to go on a little adventure and see another village.
So, it is evening, my place is clean, my luggage is packed (mostly) and the Haaikie is about to “take one for the team” and empty the fridge of left-overs and the bakery goodies. My blog should be up to date too (once I finish this), and then it is just “one more sleep” until the next leg of my journey begins. A little homesick, a little anxious, a little excited about Switzerland, and a little of a whole lot more while being thankful that I am (still) right here, and feeling it.

Interesting Day ‘-)
A new adventure awaits ‘-)
I am not so sure about if it truly was an interesting day, but it was a day… filled with lots of emotions and thoughts.
You are so fortunate to be doing something that others can only dream about. Enjoy brother – you deserve it.
Thanks Cliff, wish you were here. Hopefully see you soon.
