Chipping in, helping with the car.

And getting other things out of the way as well,

The first thing I did this morning was attending a funeral with my family.  I find this piece of my blog very hard to write about, because the only fun thing about a funeral is the first three letters of the word.  My parents knew the person well and he use to be a client of my dad when he still ran his business (back in the day).  I was in primary school class with one of his sons and a friend when visiting on the farm.  I remember his dad well and still have immense respect for the great man, even after his death.  Lots of emotions to deal with during the service, but I made it through okay.  It was also tough to bump into other old school friends and not take anything away from the fact that we were all attending a funeral.

Back home it was time to work on some other small jobs relating to the car.  I had a small “paint job” on the fuel tank to complete before we fit it back later this week (hopefully).  I also sat down with my dad to get an update on the project management side of “the project” to get an idea of what is outstanding and the priorities of each.  The family had to be included too so that we could work out the weekends and still visit the holiday house and have a good time as well.  It is not all work and no play…  or is it?  .

We have a rough schedule in place and if everything goes to plan, touch wood, she’ll be alright.
