Final checks for Clint.

Heading to Ceres for the day,

We left town after the traffic calmed down to visit my parents in Ceres for the day.  We got breakfast along the way on the other side of the Huguenot Tunnel, in Rawsonville before making it to Ceres.  The weather clearly did not listen to the forecast and the wind was howling through the pass and down into Ceres itself.  We could unfortunately not braai because of the weather, and mom also did not feel up to hosting anyone.  We stayed for dessert and “melktert” before heading back to Cape Town to complete the final things from Clint’s list, before he flies out tomorrow.

Once we were back at our apartment, we cleaned and packed Clint’s wing and then went on a little mission to get Monty (our rental car) a wash and a clean.  We felt bad returning him in the dusty condition he was in and went on the hunt for a 24-hour car wash.  Once done, and after dinner, after a walk on the dark side of Pinelands, Clint packed his final things and I crashed in my room, just giving up… on life and going to bed.  I had heaps of emotions to work through and the feelings kept coming.  I could not or did not want to deal with them, and my writing become more and more depressing, so I stopped and went to bed.

Clint’s trip is done, and my international trip is almost done… time goes so fast (Sad face emoji).

  1. Monty served you guys well “-)

What on earth were you doing on the dark side of Pinelands – hehe

You are going to have a lot of emotions in the next two weeks before you leave – just try to inhale and exhale “-)

    • Yes, Monty served us well. We almost did 4000km in him and I received the invoice today that all is well with the rental company.
