Ordinary Friday.

Yes… the first ordinary one of this year,

In fact, it was the first ordinary one in a while for me it seemed.  It looks like businesses were slowing opening up after the festive season break and it honestly felt like the year is about to kick off.  With that in mind, I wrote down my goals for this year on paper and feels like I am ready to take them (<-the goals) and the year ON.  I also decided that my sabbatical is finished and over (for the most part) and I will focus intensely on looking for the right job opportunity from now on.  I have to remain careful not to jump into the next job I see and really wait for the right thing to come along. (<-But this might be harder than it seems.)  I will not be continuing on the Te Araroa trail (extensively) in the near future even though it feels strange to leave it incomplete.  Kind of like I baked two cakes halfway and gave up… but it is what it is for now.  I had a great time (mostly) on the trail and it functioned like I predicted, disrupting my life and allowing me to condense down my existence. Yes… this is it… over.

In other news: I spoke to the shipping company and the container with the car and the stuff was unloaded and is ready for inspection.  MPI should do their inspection today, crossing fingers and putting positive energy into the fact that it will all clear okay.  It is getting exciting and I struggle to keep it together.  “Min dae nou”.

Finally, I had a nice conversation with Skylar today as well, before spending time with a friend for dinner and a movie.  It is after all Friday night, so no time to be alone.  I know there are a possible million things to think about regarding Skylar and me, but I am just focusing on the here and now… for the moment.  The other “stuff” will work itself out if it is the right thing.  Wow… yes… so this is 2025 baby.  Time to grab the bull by the horns.
