My monthly plasma donation

Today was a very unproductive day at the Leopard, reason being because I donated  plasma this evening.  It is important to stay hydrated, so sipping water all day leads to many trips to the bathroom unfortunately. (<-is this an overshare? too much info here?)

 

To be honest, I am not sure why I ever started donating blood back in my home country while still in high school, but I seemed to have stuck with it over the years.  It feels like something I am able to do easily, without much cost to me, so why shouldn't I try to help others?    

 

A big THANK YOU to the NZ Blood Service and its staff in Christchurch for making it such a friendly and professional experience.  Wherever you find yourself, if you are donating blood or plasma, thank you… and if not, perhaps consider giving it a try.

With my upcoming trip in mind, I had to cancel all my future monthly appointments, but I am sure I will continue to donate on short notice when I am close to a donation centre.
