Thunderstorms during the day today, no flying so took a (looong-ish) stroll to Duingt,

I say looong-ish because I didn’t plan to walk that far in flip-flops and maybe I should have put on better shoes if I knew it beforehand.  It is a small little village, next to the lake closer to Annecy with an awesome bakery… so I had to inspect.  By the way, I spelled it correctly… lets see if you can pronounce it correctly. LOL
Most of the way was through beautiful French cottages and fields, with the last bit on the shared cycle/walking path.  It use to be an old railway line, so the gradient is low and there is even a tunnel, which came in handy to hide out from the occasional rain shower.

Found the bakery, some chocolate croissants to keep the Haaikie busy and my Kindle to keep the Hamster interested while sitting next to the lake and soaking up the views.  I know I have said it so many times… such an awesome place this.

  1. Talk about Flip Flops..
I did a hike in Newlands Forest, not too long ago, with Flip Flops, because I forgot my hiking shoes at home..
Did not want to miss the hike, but the aftermath of that, do not ever do that again! 🙃

I can only assume that the Chocolate croissants was next level..

I will also say again.. Just dreamy..

ps Pronouncing Duingt.. Not at all what I “thought” in my head🤣

    • Yep, flip-flop blisters… (but they are healing)
Then about the chocolate croissants, I asked for two, but the paper bag was so light, I had to check to make sure. Almost tied a string around them and held onto them like balloons, floating to the lakefront. LOL
