Surreal – One word to summarise this “thing” (trip I am going on), 
 
What have I done, putting an epic trip like this together all in one go?  What was I thinking?  Feeling rather overwhelmed, but I need to try and stay focused and remember how privileged I am to have the opportunity to do this.  Who knows?  I might never be able to do this kind of thing ever again in my lifetime.  I will miss my home, but I will be on other, new, different and impressive adventures.  
 
I think you can tell from the paragraph above how I am feeling and a certain song comes to mind: “Die Einde” by Janie Bay ft. Elandre.  The lyrics start with “Ek staan by die einde, of is dit die begin?” – translated to “I stand at the beginning, or is this the end?”.
 
Just taking it one part at a time, focusing on the here and “now”… getting to Denver in time for the retreat.  The first leg of my trip.
