A bit of luck on our side,

We left Ceres this morning, after mom cooked us eggs for breakfast.  On our way to Cape Town for the week, showing Clint a thing or two, here and there on the way.

With the help of an old instructor of mine, we were soon standing on Signal Hill, staring at the clouds on top of Table Mountain.  After we talked about where to fly and how to get to landing, Clint and I got our stuff ready… waiting for a gap between tandem pilots to take off.  I think we were pretty lucky, picking a nice time to launch, maintaining and then climbing in some easy lift.  Epic views of Cape Town city bowl, Table Mountain, Seapoint, and Robben Island for a great start to our flying holiday.  I didn’t capture any footage, but Clint made a nice video here: My Video.

After our flight we packed our things, had some lunch in Seapoint and caught a lift back up the hill to our car.  We made it to our accommodation in the afternoon after stopping for an ice-cream at Eden on the Bay.  A pretty good and lucky start to the our flying holiday in South Africa.  Feeling privileged and grateful for an epic day.
