Goodbye to Colorado.

Moving on to leg number 2 of my journey,

To borrow a term from my friend Emily, today (and tomorrow) is “Gypsy” day… travelling from Denver, Colorado, USA to ultimately Annecy, France via Frankfurt and Geneva.  If I had to be honest, I am a little homesick at the moment, but will miss Denver too when I leave.  I did a walking meditation this morning early and again, after finishing, lying on my back in the grass, I was amazed at the fact that all I see is blue sky (and a slither of the moon today)  Don’t know why, but the sky feels impressively large here.

The hotel has been very grand, all luxury and I enjoyed my (rather expensive) stay here, but I am happy to move on to the next destination of my adventure.  Saying goodbye to the large fireplace and the Rocky Mountains one last time before heading to Denver International Airport.

The check-in area at Denver International Airport has an impressive circus-like canvas style roof.  I managed to add and check all my bags and my flight looks like it will be leaving on time.  Nine and a bit hours to Frankfurt over night, waking up in a different time zone with jetlag, ugh, Fun with a capital F.

  1. I’m glad you were able to escape the compound of the Gaylord and visit some of the local highlights. I’m excited to read about your next adventure. Safe travels. You are missed.

    • Yes sure, couldn’t sit around all day by the pool right??? Great to hear from you and welcome here to FloatingPhil. Unfortunately not all my adventures are exciting, but you are welcome to tune in and read when you have a moment. Most certainly.
