And in general, the other, better side of the lake if you ask me,
This morning I woke up late, knowing that it was raining outside I just didn’t see the point of getting up early. After breakfast, taking care of a couple of things and updating my blog, I was out the door on my way to Küsnacht, down by the lake. The idea was to take the ferry across the lake to Kilchberg and I don’t know how to say this in any other words, but the Haaikie said “The mothership is calling him”. Ever since I arrived here on Switzerland, the Haaikie has been hounding the Hamster to go, go back to the “mothership”, to the Lindt chocolate factory “The home of chocolate”.
It was extremely busy, lots of tour busses, so I didn’t join any of the factory tours and stuff, just settled for a walk around the main area to shop a little. I also hit the factory shop (around the back) to get some better value deals for the Haaikie. After the melting chocolate disaster in France (read here) I told the Haaikie that whatever we open, we have to consume… because my Kindle is still smelling like Lindt chocolate and the buttons are all becoming “fuzzy” when it is cold. He was happy to take more than one for the “team”, who ever he thinks that is.
Afterwards, I made my way down to Rapperswil-Jona and picked up some late lunch before settling at the lakefront. This is the “right” side of the lake if you ask me, quiet, peaceful and full of beauty. Just stayed here for a couple of hours, doing a meditation and watching the ducks go by. The “teenager” ducklings are so sweet.
After five, I made my way around the corner to the ferry pier and decided to take the loooong way home on the boat back to Zurich. The wind was quiet and it was a beautiful way to finish of the day and my trip in Switzerland. This place is stunning.

The Lindt chocolate factory is a “must” – you cannot be in Switzerland and not go there!
One can clearly see you enjoyed “the other, better side of the lake” including the “teenager” ducklings (ek sien hoe krul jou tone) “-))
Switzerland is indeed n beautiful place.
Hi Urvi, yes, the quieter and less crazy side of the lake, away from the hustle and bustle of Zurich. About Lindt, like I said, the mothership was calling the Haaikie back.
