I am sure that we all have friends as we came to realise that life is be pretty dull without them,
To be honest, thinking about it, I have more friends than I care to admit sometimes. I appreciate every single one of you, even if I sometime struggle to show it in a socially correct way. When it comes to true, deep down, talking about your deepest darkest feelings and understanding your emotions kind of friend, I only have two. Yes, I know it is not great, but up to early 2020 I only had one, so it is a 100% improvement… Having said all of this, I am unfortunately missing one of them at the moment. I know this person is going through his/her own personal “hell” and so I am respectful in stepping away a little to provide some space. Like the TV series Friends, friends come and go, and ultimately I have also come and gone as a friend from other people’s lives.
I miss the catchup times, sharing my experiences and learning about theirs. Talking about deep feeling we cannot explain, asking for advice and sharing emotions. Without sounding too sad, I sincerely hope and wish that we will one day pickup where we left off. ...
In other (good) news today… I heard a van on the driveway and had a strange knock on the door. To my surprise, it was the “postie” (<-the postman, or in my case the postwoman) and in her hand was my passport from the French Embassy. Time to celebrate… after acting normal, signing for it and closing the door. I double checked the details and it all looks correct, I have a visa to go to Europe baby, yay!
