Meditation Retreat – Day 6,

Today was looong and intense.  We started today at 4:00 am with a four and a half hour meditation.  I have to be honest here… I kind of checked out during the last hour of the meditation because my body overwhelmed my mind.  I couldn’t stay comfortable anymore and the meditation instruction progressively got louder and faster towards the end.  Maybe it was all just in my head, who knows.  Still, I enjoyed it, and am grateful for the opportunity to practice and similar to paragliding… I will forever remain the student.

We had another couple of sessions after breakfast, and today the words I focused on were “grateful” and “gratitude”.  The “f-word” of yesterday was still resonating with me today, but it was time to move forward.  Stop living in the past, recalling the emotions of the past, keeping your body in the past Phil.  We completed another, small, “changing boxes” meditation (thinking about the car) followed by another coherence healing session after lunch.  I am not sure if I was as good as during yesterday’s healing session, but I was committed and gave it my best.  I skipped lunch completely again and opted for a nana-nap in my room instead.  It helped to raise my spirits before the healing session but overall I think I am still pretty tired.

Finished the day with a walking meditation while the sun was setting at 8:30pm.  Wow, what an incredible day, so many things to be grateful for.  Now that I am back in my room, it is time to prepare for tomorrow, the final day of the retreat.  I have a lot of feelings, going to miss this community and the people I interacted with along the way.
