Getting things crossed off the list,
After preparing everything behind the dashboard, I fitted the heater box in place today. Dad fitted the last of the cooling pipes and we connected the heater box to the engine cooling system. It looks really good and it feels like things are coming together. Dad filled the system with water too, ready for a flush once we get the engine started. I also fitted the ventilation system thingy on the drivers side of the car interior and hooked up the controls.
We connected the battery back after I fitted the fuse box back into position and started checking our work. Dad’s work on the lights seemed okay for the most part, the spotlights have a small issue. My work looked good too, fan was working and changing all the vent settings worked smoothly too. We also fixed the brake pedal switch, so that the brake lights are now working consistently when you step on the brakes. I did some other minor checks, like the RPM dash lights and the high beam (headlight) indicator. We even got the brake fluid low light to operate correctly… Wow.
It feels like things are coming together and we are slowly but surely ticking items off the list. Getting ever so closer to the shipping date.
