My home office that is,
I read through and checked all the final quotation and insurance paperwork for moving the car from South Africa to New Zealand. Printed, signed, scanned and sent everything off, so there is absolutely NO turning back now. Still figuring out ways to determine the true value of the car here in NZ, (without having the car here in NZ) to avoid any holdups at customs later this year. For those of you that don’t know, the car in question is a vintage, 1972, Ford Fairmont GT that belongs to my dad and it is a privilege that I am allowed to purchase it from him, keeping it in the family. Pictures will follow in the blog, especially when I am in South Africa later this year. (For now you can use you imagination)
I know I said that this year is going to be “without having any real plan, purpose or pressure”, but there were some BIG TICK items that I wanted to achieve. Moving the car to NZ is one of them, and also one of the reasons I am travelling back to South Africa later this year. At the moment I am trying to get as much as possible in place, ready to go to enable the car to ship out of Cape Town on the 17th of October-ish.
Clint also drawn my attention to watch the Hurricanes vs Chiefs: Super Rugby Pacific semi-final on tv last night. Wow, what a good game and the Chiefs most certainly deserve the win – if you ask me. I am actually starting to like the “rugby thing”.

I hope you realise that if you are heard to say you don’t like rugby, you will likely be deported!
The final between the Blues and Chiefs should be a ‘barnstormer’ if with only five days to go, they have enough players still capable of standing and not too badly injured.
Good that you notice. That is why I never said that I “don’t like rugby” at all. 🙂
