Moving to Melkboom / Klawer.

,
I (little) gypsy day of sorts,

I left home early this morning, driving north-ish to visit my parents in law-ish.  LOL.  I still call them “mom” and “dad”, even after the accident, because they will always remain another set of parents I had the privilege of having.  (<- not sure about all my tenses here… the situation, like the tenses are both complicated.)  Most of the way, the wheat fields surrounding Gouda, Porterville and Piketberg are a magical golden green and as beautiful as this place gets (just before harvest time).  I enjoy this time of year… here… and my phone camera cannot do justice to the spectacular scenery.

I managed to evade driving over one of the locals, crossing the road between Porterville and Piketberg, and got a photo of him, possible her too.
Over the mountain at Piekenierskloof Pass, but not before making a quick stop for a coke at Kardoesie, where Clint and I paraglided just a couple of days ago.  I miss his presence and I miss not having my paragliding equipment on the back seat, seeing that Barry and his bus is standing on launch with international pilots.
Arrived home, to a different home, outside Klawer just after lunch time.  Wow, it has been a while since I stopped here, but happy and grateful to be able to spend the time here.  I am not quite sure what to think and feel when I get here, very confused emotionally but opening my heart and ready to take it all in, whatever comes my way.

We made a quick “dash” into Vredendal to grab a bit of lunch and for some essential supplies at the grocery store for the Haaikie before returning home.  I could not help to take a photo of this shirt, perfectly capturing the Haaikie of mine and what he would say… “Here comes the Fun” and “Fin-Tastic” especially when rolling out the red carpet for a well deserved Coca-Cola.  Back home, chatting the afternoon away, catching up on the happening since I last said goodbye to my parent in law-ish on Christchurch Airport, in May last year… I think.  Time is precious and I shall remain grateful for every moment that I have with them.

I’m sure you handled the matter way better than I did with one of the “locals aka toktokkie” in Hermanus – hehe

The T-shirt is perfect for you – you should have purchased it “-)

Happy you managed to finally get to catch up with your parents in law-ish …

    • Regarding the locals… yes, the car is still in the upright position. LOL

About the T-Shirt, well I tried it on quickly but father in law-ish suggested that it might have been a tad on the small side. “Youngster Boys – Size 2/3) Perfect for the Haaikie perhaps, but not for the complete zoo.
