I bought an instrument (yeah!), 
 
After a late lunch with a dear friend of mine, I stopped by at a music shop today and purchased a musical instrument.  It was always a dream of mine to be able to play the double bass before I turned 40.  So in 2020, or 2021 perhaps I realised time was not waiting for anyone, and for a brief period, a couple of months, I had lessons and did learn a (very) little bit to play the double bass.  Unfortunately I found it difficult to invest the time required to practice enough with work and everything that was going on at the time, so it started to affect me mentally and I gave it up.  
 
This year however I do have the time, so while I was out on the trail I did give it some thought and came to a conclusion: lets see if I can teach this old dog a new trick, or instrument.  I am sure you would all agree that the double bass is perhaps not the most practical of instruments on the trail so I settled for something smaller, and lighter, and easier… the harmonica.
 
Watch this space baby… or perhaps listen back here in a month or two, but please don’t hold your breath.
