I am sending with some personal items as well,
I am taking it easy today since it technically is a public holiday in South Africa… Heritage day. I am packing some personal items that will travel with in the container like old toys, Lego and a puzzle or two with significant sentimental value. My grandmother’s cuckoo clock is also going with, in pieces, hopefully to be repaired in NZ. Dad was helping out someone else today and mom was cleaning a little here and there. (I tried to help, but felt like I was in the way).
All the shipping documents are up to date with ZAR values and sizes so that the moving company can work its magic on Wednesday. Hopefully the insurance for the container will come through as well in the next week. Everything for the car is up to date, as much as I can, so I will check in and help where I can once I am on holiday.
I had a nice sit down with mom too, just a little chat in between vacuuming and stuff. I also recorded her, “walking” me through a photo album from her childhood days. Tomorrow Clint is arriving from NZ and then I will be off on a flying holiday for two-ish weeks.
