With a mix of catching up with other friends and completing an outstanding “mission”,
This morning started with a whole mapped route, going from one place to the next, shopping for (mostly) parts and supplies for the car. Anything from a plastic pipe, tools, light bulbs all the way to arts & crafts supplies, vinyl and sponge. I filled up the car, my sister’s car actually that she borrowed me for the weekend-ish.
With everything going (sort of) according to plan, I had extra time to make my way all the way “down” to Muizenberg. I wanted to say hi to someone special at a very old “Leopard” I use to work for, Radio CCFm. I didn’t make any appointment, just trusted the universe that things will work out and walked into the front door to say hi. Thankfully Kayla recognised me (with a little bit of hesitancy) and we had a couple of minutes together to catch up on the “good old times”. She also arranged a tour of the new studio’s for me and I got to see some of my work still in place today. Also had time to pop my head over the fence to the beach for a quick look and reminiscence. Good times…
After Muizenberg, I made it to Diep Rivier to visit a special person and her partner actually. I was completing a “mission” to bring back a flute that belonged to a good friend of mine and hand it over. It was nice sitting down for a cup of tea and a chat before discussing the final arrangement of the flute, and how it will hopefully find a new, deserving, home. Returned back to Ceres and will continue the work on the car tomorrow.
