Starting a landscaping project.

While I have a little time on my hands,

I decided to knock one more thing off the original to-do list from when I purchased my home, the one I am currently living in.  The original list included things like upgrading the roof insulation, changing the windows to double glazing, painting the garage floor and making the garden less time consuming.  The thing that remained, was taking care of one corner section of me property I hardly use.  One part has vegetable pod-like structures and the rest is covered in little gravel stones, that goes everywhere and doesn’t really look the part.

The problem I always had, apart from time, was the fact that I need to hire a “hardfill” skip and then dig it all up and out, or travel with it all the way across town and pay for disposal. I would also need a trailer, possibly a wheelbarrow and a coke or two.  BUT, after chatting to some of my friends, someone offered to accept the soil plus gravel and I even manage to loan a trailer for the week to complete the job.  Strange how it all works out?  So I scoped the job one last time today (deciding against the wheelbarrow), picked up a box of coke and collected the trailer, thanks a million Clint.

I wish I could categorise this under “Adventure”, because I am sure it will inevitably turn out to be one, but not the kind that you might like to read about.  In any case, brace yourself for less landscape photos and more landscaping ones.
