Taking it easy today, not flying,
No, I decided to sleep late, lounge around a little and have a holiday. I am on holiday right? I also managed to catch up on the laundry and do a little bit of cleaning. I made a couple of calls to South Africa too, getting up to speed as to what is going on back home. Planned a bit regarding my upcoming time in Switzerland too and started reading about what to do in Belgium.
All in all, a good all rounder of a day. I finished it off by walking down to the lake for a swim and a sit down on the little dock while watching the thunderstorms roll in.
Concluded my evening, watching the Olympic games closing ceremony while the lightning outside lit up the sky and the rain provided a welcoming relief and a break from the heat. What a display of absolute power by mother nature to mortal and insignificant human beings? Almost like: “Hold my beer and watch this!” while unleashing a ton of (renewable) energy all in one go.
