Taylor’s Mistake – thank you, you beauty.

I cannot explain it in words here, it was simply magical,

It was a great day at Taylor’s today.  Conditions changed throughout the day, but it remained flyable for most of it and something special happened at the cliffs.  It was like you entered into some kind of magic convergence and everything was just going up.  Some pilots even flew of to Godley Head and back with height to spare.  I was not one of them, I am not brave enough close to the clouds and so far out over the ocean, but I had a pretty awesome and memorable day.

I wish I had footage to share from my action camera, but in a strange, unfortunate chain of events, it ended up with a dead battery on the hill today.  It switched on at some point in transit and recorded black for an hour while in my pod harness.  Really sorry!

I snapped some photo’s using my phone, but the real pictures will remain in my head, forever hopefully.  I crammed in 9 flights and more than 3.5 hours of airtime.  I stopped flying not because Taylor’s stopped working, but because it felt like my arms were going to fall off.  I really need to work on my fitness… flying fitness that is.  Honestly, a day to remember.
