In the past, I use to be that friend, you know, the one you ask to help you with computer stuff,
I use to be great with computer stuff in “my early days” and knew a thing or two, even if I have to say so myself. The problem is, I am clearly not in “my early days” anymore and technology is moving at such a fast pace. If you are not working with it every single day, you simply cannot stay up to date with the latest hacks and tricks. This I discovered when a friend asked me to help him with a computer related problem.
It should have been simple, but it turned into a 3-day job that will most likely continue into tomorrow as well. We seem to hit one obstacle after another and just go backwards for a while before making any progress. Perhaps I have crossed the line as well, and need to make a new friend… one I can ask for help when it comes to “computer stuff”. My friend certainly needs to, LOL.
