First order of business: Flying, followed by the Rugby,
The seasons are changing and with winter here, flying is becoming a little less. So on an iffy, maybe okay weather day like today you have to be on the hill early and ready to fly. On arrival at Taylor’s Mistake, it was a little too strong at first, so Clint and I had to wait for a while before he took his mini-wing out for a flight. Later I decided to go for a flight, but it turned out to not be a good idea. Everything and everywhere was going UP and the wind was getting stronger at elevation, so I chose to land at the bottom and walked back up to launch. Sadly it all changed while I was walking back up the hill and by the time I got to the top it was all over for the day.
After returning home, I went out later to go watch the last live match of the Crusaders for the 2024 Super Rugby season. I didn’t used to be into rugby as much, but find it to be a good experience, not costing the earth, with great friends in fine weather. It was a tough, physical game and the Crusaders put up a good performance earing them a 43-10 win over the Moana Pasifika team.
