Trying to stay in touch with the world while sharing my adventure, posting some photographs and recording my thoughts.

And so the planning for the next stint starts,

I am going back, flying back to Queenstown on the morning of the 12th of March and continuing my walk north. Ordered the dehydrated meals today, picked up a couple of other food items and booked accommodation for the in between days. This time I am making sure I have enough rest days in between.

Rough dates are as follows, Arrow Town on the 12th, Wanaka around the 18-20th, Lake Ohao on the 27-ish followed by Tekapo on the 2nd of April if things goes to plan. If I feel good and the weather plays in my favour, I will tack on the Two Thumbs Ranges as well, adding another 5 days.
This will put my solidly in Canterbury,  and if I add the bits of the TA that I completed already, it actually takes me up all the way to Arthur’s Pass. But let’s not jump the gun just yet. Will load the new sections to my garmin site before I leave home, showing my completed and still to do tracks. Garmin Philip NZ
