Not everything is going to plan with the car… or at least it is taking longer than expected,
There are more inspections that the car needs to go through now. It passed the MPI inspection but customs decided that they want to have another look at her. Maybe they just want to see her, or check her out… I don’t know but I am feeling a little deflated if I have to be honest. Trying my best to stay positive… that is all I can do.
The rest of the contents of the container are all cleared and will be delivered tomorrow morning. It will be like receiving a belated Christmas gift from myself… to myself. The flip side of that is that I realised how much stuff I have, and soon I will be having more. Is it healthy or a little bit ridiculous? I am wondering about it now… If I have to move tomorrow, I am not sure a 20 foot container will have enough space? And if I add the car, it will be a 40 foot container. And all of it is MY stuff… there is no more “we”. Seriously thinking now that perhaps 2025 should also be a year of making things less. I wonder?
I am looking forward to a little more job activity now that the new year is getting underway. Looks like that job I applied for a week or so ago accepted my application, but I have not received a call today. (<-Adding a little to my deflated state.) I also visited some of my old colleagues at the Leopard today, just to say “hi” and see how the people and the place are doing. It was not an easy year for the Leopard, so I was quite surprised seeing things are actually going/doing okay. The place is looking great and there seems to be a good vibe going. Perhaps they really didn’t need me at all in the past… who knows. I am still proud of what I left behind and how I left the Leopard, feeling welcome to go back and just chat and catchup with old staff members.

I think customs just wants or “check her out” – I would want to “-)
Yay for the rest of your contents being delivered – Happy belated Xmas – Enjoy opening all the boxes.
As for having too much stuff – my motto – I try to “clear out” every 6 months to a year – if I have not used it or looked at it, it must go ..
If I bring in something new – something old must go 😉
Workwise – you can always be proud of what you left behind at previous jobs – a well deserved proud for that matter – I have worked with you – I know what you are about!
I’m sure you will get some feedback on the job application sooner than later “-)
Hmmm. I will have to work on that “if I bring in something new, something old must go” thing. I am NOT onboard with that.
Workwise… trusting that it will all work out.
