It is interesting what friends we make in life and circumstances around starting the friendship,
About a week ago I received a message about cancellations and openings at my regular sports massage therapist so I made a booking. I have this “thing” in my elbow from the Whanganui days on the river and it does not seem to be going away so I thought she might be able to help. Arguably more importantly, I was just grateful to be seeing a good friend again and wanted to catch up with her. We have been coming on for 4-odd years now and do share a lot about our lives whenever I find myself on her table. She was instrumental in helping me through the stuff that followed from 2020 and I will remain forever grateful a appreciative of her skills and friendship. I forgot how good she is with her hands and remembered why I use to have a regular standing appointment (<-when I had a job and could afford it). There is not much she can do about my elbow unfortunately, but gave me some advice… I just have to have patience with my body in healing.
I also made a couple of rounds to the shops today to pickup more supplies and packed a little more for my upcoming trip as well. The stores were crazy and I should have known… the schools open tomorrow. I am so glad I only have to look after myself and do not have to think about getting kids to school tomorrow.
Still on the job search… looking, looking, looking… Ugh.
